What Happens Next?
Step 1:
Book a free 15 minute call – This is a relaxed, no-pressure chat for us to discuss your goals and for me to explain how the neuroscience of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can work for you. You only need to share what feels comfortable. By the end of our chat, you’ll have a clear sense of how we can move forward together.
Step 2:
An Initial Consultation (IC) — either in person (Stroud or Cirencester) or online. Whilst we do not do any hypnosis during the IC, I will have some questions. I will also explain:
- Why your brain creates the responses you are experiencing
- What’s keeping the patterns in place
- What you can do about it, right now!
This isn’t just theory, it’s a personalised explanation of your brain, your patterns and your path forward. Clients consistently describe this as life changing and powerful. It provides hope and clarity.
Step 3:
You decide if you would like to book in again. Most clients clients have 8–12 sessions, but the number you have will be entirely up to you.

Will I lose Control During Hypnosis, or could you make me do something against my will?
Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention, similar to being completely engrossed in a great book or a movie. You naturally drift in and out of this state many times a day. You remain fully in control at all times and can easily bring yourself out of trance whenever you wish. My role is purely as a guide; we are working with your conscious goals to support positive, lasting subconscious change.
I've tried everything else to cope/perform better why will this work?
Success starts with understanding the 'how' and 'why' of your brain. We explore how your thoughts and behaviors dictate which parts of your brain are in the driving seat—the calm, intellectual part or the reactive, stressed part. Once you understand this biological process, you stop blaming yourself and start making small, manageable adjustments. Together, we’ll retrain your brain to work for you, helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.
How many sessions will I need, and when will I start to see a difference?
Because everyone is unique, the number of sessions varies depending on your specific goals and your starting point. However, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is designed to be a brief, results-oriented process. Most clients see significant, lasting change within 8 to 12 sessions. Many people report feeling more 'in control' and positive after just their first few appointments. We will regularly review your progress to ensure we are moving toward your preferred future at a pace that works for you.
What is expected of me during this process?
It's best to think of this as a partnership. While I provide the professional tools and neurological insights, your commitment is the key to lasting change. All I ask is that you attend your sessions with an open mind and listen to the relaxation track I provide between appointments. This simple daily habit reinforces our work and helps 'empty your stress bucket' faster.
